The driver’s cab terminal SITET® 650 has been specially developed for deployment in rail vehicles. It provides the human-machine interface between the control and vehicle diagnostics system, the driver of the rail vehicle and the service personnel. The device is used for process visualization of operating and diagnostics data. It is based on an industrial PC, extended by a monitoring and climate management system to meet the requirements of rail vehicles.

Brief description of the device

The SITET® 650 driver’s cab terminal displays information both in plaintext and in graphical form. It can also inform the train driver with audible signals and voice messages.

Because vehicles are used both under ground and above ground, the SITET® 650 is equipped with a brightness control, which ensures consistent lighting of the display area over the entire brightness range. To enable operation in an extended temperature range, the device has been equipped with a heating system.

Interaction between the vehicle control system and the vehicle driver is performed using a keyboard integrated into the front panel or a touchscreen.

Purpose/application

The SITET® 650 driver’s cab terminal is used to display system data and route information and for entering train control commands in the
driver’s cab of rail vehicles.
